What is Cap Cana Marina?

Marina Cap Cana is the Caribbean's largest inland marina — a protected, hurricane-safe harbor with more than 150 slips for yachts up to 250 feet, wrapped by a waterfront village of restaurants, bars, and boutiques. For Villa Espada guests it sits about ten minutes away and works two ways: it's the launch point for fishing charters and day sails, and it's one of the most popular evenings-out in Cap Cana.

A working harbor and an evening destination

The marina is a genuine full-service yacht harbor — deep-water slips, a fuel dock, an on-site chandlery, and customs and immigration for boats arriving from across the Caribbean. What makes it a destination for villa guests, though, is the waterfront village that grew up around the slips: an open promenade of restaurants and bars set along the water, where several kitchens source their snapper, wahoo, and mahi-mahi straight from the sport-fishing boats that dock each afternoon.

Getting on the water

You don't need your own boat to enjoy the marina. The marina is one of the Caribbean's premier billfish bases, and it hosts internationally attended catch-and-release tournaments through the year — a White Marlin Tournament in the spring and the Cap Cana Classic in the fall (both fall in 2026), plus a family-friendly Kids Fishing Festival. During tournament weeks the harbor fills with visiting sport-fishing teams and the promenade takes on a real buzz; it's a lively time to visit, though charters and waterfront tables book up further ahead.
