Tennis, Padel & Pickleball Near Villa Espada

There are three racquet-sport venues worth knowing about when you stay at Villa Espada. Two are inside the gated Cap Cana community: Los Establos Padel Club, where you can book padel and pickleball courts, and Racquet Village, the hard-court venue of the Copa Cap Cana professional tennis tournament. The third, the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center Punta Cana, is outside Cap Cana in Bávaro.

Los Establos Padel Club — Padel Inside Cap Cana

Los Establos Padel Club, which takes bookings as Los Establos Racquet Club, is inside the Los Establos equestrian center in Cap Cana, about 2 miles from Villa Espada. It has four padel courts and four pickleball courts on Padel Galis turf, open daily from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, with a pro shop and a restaurant. Courts are rented by the hour and private lessons are available. Villa Espada guests can play for an extra fee, paid directly to the club.

Racquet Village — Home of the Copa Cap Cana

Racquet Village is the tennis venue in Cap Cana that hosts the Copa Cap Cana, an ATP Challenger 175 tournament first played in March 2025. It is scheduled in the second week of Indian Wells, and the 2026 edition ran March 10–15 with $300,000 in prize money. The venue has six Hard Laykold courts, including a stadium court, two grandstands and three practice courts, the same setup as the Miami Open.

If your stay falls in mid-March, the tournament is a short trip from the villa. We have not confirmed public court booking at Racquet Village outside the tournament, so for court time you can reserve inside Cap Cana, use Los Establos.

Rafa Nadal Tennis Center Punta Cana — in Bávaro

The Rafa Nadal Tennis Center Punta Cana opened in 2026 as the sixth Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in the world. It is not in Cap Cana. It sits in Bávaro, at the Meliá hotel complex that includes Paradisus Palma Real, Paradisus Grand Cana, ZEL Punta Cana, Meliá Punta Cana Beach and Meliá Caribe Beach, and is reached by car rather than golf cart.

The center has five tennis courts, four padel courts and six pickleball courts, a Technogym gym, a sports shop and a display of Rafa Nadal trophies. It is the option for players who want structured tennis instruction using the Rafa Nadal Academy methodology and are happy to make the drive.

Golf in the Morning, Padel in the Evening

Villa Espada is on Fairway 5 of Punta Espada, and Las Iguanas is 2 minutes away by golf cart. Because Los Establos Padel Club stays open until 11:00 pm, a group can play a morning round at the member-guest discounted rate, eat lunch at the villa, and play padel in the evening without leaving Cap Cana.
