Three Pete Dye masterpieces. One legendary resort. A 90-minute private drive from your villa.
Casa de Campo resort in La Romana is home to three Pete Dye golf courses — including Teeth of the Dog, widely regarded as one of the finest courses ever built. No other resort in the Caribbean can match this concentration of Dye genius.
Seven ocean holes. Top 40 in the world. The course that put Caribbean golf on the map. Pete Dye's acknowledged masterpiece, opened 1971, fully restored 2024–25.
27 holes above the Chavón River gorge. Cliff-top drama, 300-foot elevation changes, and Caribbean panoramas. Pete Dye's most visually theatrical Dominican design.
Pete Dye's Scottish links-style inland course at Casa de Campo. Wide fairways, pot bunkers, and strategic demands of classic links golf in a tropical setting.
The drive from Villa Espada Cap Cana to Casa de Campo takes approximately 90 minutes through the Dominican Republic's beautiful interior — a scenic journey that is part of the experience. Your private luxury chauffeur picks up your group at the villa door and delivers you directly to the Teeth of the Dog or Dye Fore clubhouse.
Most Villa Espada golf groups dedicate at least one full day to Casa de Campo. The most popular itinerary: morning tee time at Teeth of the Dog, post-round lunch at the clubhouse or Casa de Campo Marina village, afternoon round at Dye Fore, then chauffeur back to Villa Espada for a sunset dinner prepared by your private chef.
For groups who want to experience all three Pete Dye courses, a two-day Casa de Campo trip is an extraordinary option — your butler can arrange overnight accommodations at Casa de Campo resort if desired, with the group returning to Villa Espada on day two.
Arrange My Casa de Campo TripCasa de Campo is the Dominican Republic's original luxury golf resort, established in 1974 on the southern coast near La Romana. The resort is home to Pete Dye's three most celebrated Caribbean courses: Teeth of the Dog (1971), Dye Fore, and The Links. Together, these courses represent the most concentrated collection of Pete Dye design excellence outside the United States.
Golf at Casa de Campo is available exclusively to registered resort guests, villa owners, residents, and their accompanying friends. Villa Espada guests access Casa de Campo courses through advance booking arrangements made by their personal butler. Peak season (November–April) requires booking tee times several weeks in advance, particularly for Teeth of the Dog. Morning tee times are reserved for Casa de Campo members only; guests typically play from late morning onward.
All golf at Casa de Campo is played with mandatory caddies, who are paid directly in cash (approximately $100 per bag for a walking caddie). The caddie corps at Casa de Campo is widely regarded as the best in the Caribbean — particularly valuable at Dye Fore, where elevation changes and gorge-adjacent holes make local knowledge essential.
Stay at Villa Espada Cap Cana. Your butler arranges the private chauffeur, tee times at Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore, caddies, and lunch. Everything handled.
