Hoyo Azul — The Blue Hole

Hoyo Azul (The Blue Hole) is one of the most visually stunning natural formations in the Caribbean. A perfectly circular natural cenote filled with impossibly clear turquoise water, surrounded by towering jungle cliffs and tropical vegetation. Swimming in Hoyo Azul is a bucket-list experience.

Scape Park is the only park in all of Punta Cana with two real cenotes. The second cenote is reached via the Blue Hole Trail — an immersive hike through wetlands, hanging bridges, and waterfalls that leads to a hidden, serene pool deep in the jungle.

Iguabonita Cave — Taino Petroglyphs & Ancient Formations

The Iguabonita Cave Expedition is one of the most culturally rich experiences at Scape Park. A 20-minute guided hike leads to El Farallon Cliff, where you descend into a dramatic cave system featuring stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient Taino Indian petroglyphs carved centuries ago.

Resident bat colonies add to the atmosphere of this underground world. Your expert guide provides historical context on the Taino civilization — the indigenous people of the Dominican Republic — making this as educational as it is adventurous. Ideal for curious adults and older children.

Faunaland, Animal Encounters & Cultural Route
